The Spruce Hole Yurt is located in Colorado on the Rio Grande National Forest near La Manga Pass in the South San Juan Mountains. The trailhead to the Yurt is a 2 1/2 hour drive from Santa Fe, New Mexico and a one hour drive from Alamosa, Colorado.
From Chama, NM:
Take Highway 17 north out of Chama for 20 miles. Look for the Spruce Hole road sign on your right side and park off the highway. The trail is on the south side of the road and is marked with blue diamonds. The yurt is 2 1/2 miles from the highway.
From Antonito, CO:
Take Highway 17 west out of Antonito for 28 miles. Look for the Spruce Hole sign on your right side and park across the road from the sign. The trail is on the south side of the road and is marked with blue diamonds. The yurt is 2 1/2 miles from the highway.
